Saturday, February 14: Nationally known company Dayton Contemporary Dance Company offers an exciting class with rehearsal director Countess V. Winfrey. She will be teaching a contemporary movement-based class that explores concepts used to create the duet "Inosculation," which will be performed in our Saturday night performance of HEART 2 HEART. This is a contemporary class that also explores the connection between the heart, mind, and soul of the moving body.
Sunday, February 15: Elevate your ballet technique with dancer, choreographer and educator Edson Barbosa from The Joffrey Ballet. Edson’s career with the Joffrey Ballet spans over a decade performing a diverse range of soloist and principal roles. In 2012, he won a top prize at the Prix de Lausanne, where he was named best male dancer of the competitions 40th edition. After a ballet warm up dive into the artistry of the Joffrey Ballet’s iconic repertory.
