AUDITIONS

At Laguna Dance, we honor the full spectrum of our dance community – visionary creative leaders, working professionals, artists at the beginning of their journeys, and dedicated pre-professional students.

Our inaugural Summer Stage Festival is open to dancers ages 14+ who are eager to train, create, and perform in a supportive, intergenerational environment in beautiful Laguna Beach. We are committed to equity and access, and we welcome dancers of all identities and backgrounds. Laguna Dance does not discriminate based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, national origin, religion, or socioeconomic circumstances.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged.

Please bring to the audition:
• Printed Headshot
• Printed Dance shot
• Printed Resumé

Audition will consist of a ballet warm-up followed by repertory.

Notifications for all dancers (those who attended the live audition and submitted digital applications) will be sent between January 21, 2026 and March 15, 2026.

Can’t make the live audition? A video submission is an excellent alternative and will be fully reviewed by the Laguna Dance Artistic Team

PRE-PROFESSIONAL (Ages 14+)

For the 2026 Summer Stage Festival, all auditions will be accepted through VIDEO SUBMISSION ONLY.

Please include the following in your application:

• Headshot
• Dance shot
• Resumé
• One (1) video submission link with the following in horizontal orientation:
- Two different solos (max 2:30 each)
- Barre exercises of your choice (**for Apprentice & Pre-professional applications only, Professional applications do not need to add this section)

(Please submit videos in which you are clearly visible and identifiable.)

Notifications for all dancers (those who attended the live audition and submitted digital applications) will be sent between January 21, 2026 and May 22, 2026.
